If you're not currently a member of our church - we'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to one of our weekly services. And of course, feel free to reach out and contact us directly if you have any questions or specific concerns.
Sunday Worship Service 10:00 AM
ADVENT / CHRISTMAS EVENTS
Advent Conspiracy: It’s Advent – the season of preparing for Christ’s coming – but we are stressed out and over-spent. Join us in the Edgar Library for honest conversation, coffee, and prayer as we focus on the real meaning of the season. Childcare is available.
· Sat, Dec 14 & 21: 9-10:30am
Christmas Pageant: A special guest returns to share the story of the birth of Jesus. The pageant will be intergenerational this year, so all are welcome to participate.
· Sat, Dec 14; 10:30am – Rehearsal/party
· Sun, Dec 15; 10:00am – Pageant
Christmas Caroling: All are welcome to join us as we carol on Main Street. We’ll meet in the parking lot at and carpool to the west end of Main Street. We will sing our way up Main Street and join BeaconArts in the Lighting of the Bicycle Christmas Tree celebration.
· Sat, Dec 14; 4pm
Interfaith Story Circle: Join us at the Beacon Hebrew Alliance as we gather with the Dutchess Council Interfaith Coalition to share stories – from many faith traditions – about how we share the Light in the darkness
· Tues, Dec 17; 7pm – 331 Verplanck Ave
Blue Christmas: On the longest night of the year we will gather in the Sanctuary to acknowledge the struggle that many face during the holidays. We will also anticipate the coming Light of the World.
· Sat, Dec 21; 7pm
White Gifts: This year we are buying Christmas gifts for a single mother with three daughters (ages 9, 11, & 18) and one son (13). The ornaments on the Christmas Tree in McKinley Hall are color-coded for each family member. Please wrap the gifts in white paper and bring them – with the ornament tag attached – to worship on Sunday, Dec 22nd.
* We are also collecting the following items for the Elant care facility: shampoo, conditioner, powder, soap, air freshener, and socks (both men’s and women’s). They can be left in the basket at the base of the tree, unwrapped.
Women’s Tea: All are welcome to join us after worship for this annual tradition of honoring the women of our congregation. Please contact Robin Thomas if you can donate food or desert for this special event: 831-6209
· Sun, Dec 22; 11am
Christmas Eve Candlelight & Communion Service: Invite your friends and family for a traditional candlelight service, complete with our candelabras – as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.
· Tues, Dec 24; 8pm
